Miss Cherry is just so clever! I gave her Isabel's reptile hammock because Isabel didn't like it, and Cherry knew what to do right away! A day later, here she is, lounging on it...

It's really not as close to the water bowl as it appears in this picture- it's about 3/4 of the way to the ceiling.

she looks very happy! Now all she needs is some good FL sun and some lotion..heheheh :0)

Nice loungin' pics, Nanci.
Do you think a hammock like that would work for a large snake? I'm pretty sure Cheerio would use it, but she's about 860 grams (and not very dainty).

haha this post also reminded me that i used to want to get one for my snake but wasn't sure if they would use it. i'll probably look into it again because even if my big guy doesn't like it i can give it to my smaller corn. thought they would like it because it allows more climbing without taking up more floorspace.

oh and i don't know why but her name really suits her! yah i though i would let you know. :)

Well, Cherry is only 350 grams or so. It would be a tight fit! That is a "large," BTW.

Hey, i think the hammock is a great idea, i've just ordered a large one from ebay, along with some plastic plants and a "habistat thermostat".. I was just using the uth with a digital thermometer probe on the surface of the bedding, which was reading up to 90deg but on the advice of the good folk from cs.com i placed the probe under the bedding directly on the uth and was shocked to find it went up as high as 125deg..I was a bit naive but thanks to this site myself and Mitch are doing much better.. Cheers guys.
