Platinums . . .

If it's the CMG - I think it said that it may not be possible to reliably visually distinguish them in a clutch that produces both. Thus the conclusion I drew is that some snakes marketed as one may in fact be genetically the other, and that a test cross with an amel may be necessary to really determine what you have.

Couldn't really tell you the wording. I was just told - not read myself - that the said the words shouldn't be used to describe different morphs. May be a misinterpretation. I really don't care. I just found it humorously ironic to get told/read such opposite wordings on the same subject on the same day....even if it was told to me wrong. Funny - that's all. Nothing else. Yeah, my sense of humor doesn't have to make sense to anyone else. :)

IN ESSENCE..........When names confuse the issue further (like the ball python market), I think they are bad. When they help, I think they are good.

Mentioned a few pages back...

I think Platinum is a good nick name and I think he deserves a shot at giving the Anery Hypo Charcoals of the world a new nick name. Lets see how it works, maybe it will stick, maybe someone will come up with something the masses like better, only time will tell.

KJ mentioned this too..

I think it's funny that I read this after being told that the new pamphlet by some self-proclaimed naming authorities

This is exactly what I was mocking at the beginning of the thread.. My reference is to the naming authority board of advisers, kings of corns, .. etc etc etc..

Now where is that steak and seafood dinner.. I am willing to give up seafood portion for some extra steak.. *lol*

Good point . . . other than the fact that:

Charcoal is BLACK, not gray
Snow is WHITE, not pink and white
Lava is generally ORANGE, not red
Amber is TRANSLUCENT, not yellow
Caramel is poopy BROWN, not yellow brown gray
real Butter is OFF-WHITE, not yellow
Ghosts are INVISIBLE, not gray with yellow chins

Need any more examples? :D

I hear the word Platinum, I think silver, you telling me those snakes aren't silver looking?

That is so funny. BTW, I realy like the name platinum, and it does remind me of the look of the snake. I never did cotton to plasma, but I'll get over it. And don't get me started about granite... a name that I'm all for and really fits to me.

Cheers!

In my heart, there will only ever be one snake worthy of being called a platinum.......lol.

Don't believe everything you hear. Wise people do their own research to get the facts straight and search out the real truth. :shrugs:

What's the old saying...'fools tread where wisemen fear to go' or something like that. :shrugs:

Seems a lot of misinformation is popping up here these days. 'Nuff said.

Not really. Probably depends on which horses mouth you prefer to listen to. The facts are out there. People have forgotten words they've used and stated publicly in the past or they've chosen to leave out pertinent information from their histories. I'm just saying ""facts"" that others are currently sharing don't mesh up with ""facts"" those same people have shared publicly in the past. Interesting . . .

I don't think it is just here Ruth that misinformation pops up.. I really tend to side with Brent, that often times people ( I am one of them.. ) forget what they have said.. However that been said, I prefer to talk to the horses mouth that has teeth..
