First time breeding question...

I tried doing a search but couldn't come up with the answer! SO, my female had, what I'm hoping, is her prelay shed last night. But now I am skeptical b/c I cannot feel any eggs or bumps! So, my question is....if she is gravid and that was her prelay shed, should I be able to feel something in her by now?!

Thanks!!

If she is gravid you may or may not be able to feel the eggs. But you should also leave her alone and try not to handle her any more. They lay their eggs any where from 10-14 days after their prelay shed. Some less some more. Give her a lay box, offer her a small food item on feeding day and just let her be. If she eats fine if not thats fine too.

No problem. :)

I have a female that I was starting to wonder if she was gravid or not. I couldn't feel any eggs. She laid 23!

Speaking as someone who has been breeding for years, and has just been caught out by a little minx who remained resolutely un-bump-y, then laid a surprise clutch of 15 eggs - I'd say it's very possible that yours is gravid!
