Poppy!

WoOOoop =)

Today while at the local petshop I bought myself something nice after a hard weeks work *LOL*

I bought, Poppy! She is soo funny to watch, a real personality!

I also asked the pet-shop owner if he was interested in employing part-time staff, he said he was and I offered to help out, so he said just pop in whenever I want and I can! Wooop :) That mean's I can spend more time with reptiles and that boa I handled the otherday, It was love at first sight

Wow George! Congratulations on another job!! I wish we could get those big snails over here. I love her name.

Yea, it's a shame you guys can't get them over there :/ I suppose it's for good reason though, these things are capable of producing hundreds of babies! Imagine the headlines "The USA Taken overby giant african land snails"

hehe! Well, it'll be busy for me soon! I'm hoping to reduce my hours at the veg place, go to college, and get a part time job at the reptile shop! :D

I've never heard the words 'personality' and 'snail' used together before...LOL
Congrats on the job, now to get your Ma to call in more often to de-sensitize her...
I see a boa on the horizon...LOL

Ha! Yea!
I think she's more worried about my little brother than my own safety! A boa could probably take him out if it wanted, even though im sure its never happend before "you know what mums are like "
I would love to see one try and eat me though *hahaha*

Oh George you need to get another asap! Snails shouldn't be kept alone, they do benefit from communal housing.

They are such fun creatures! You will love her :)

BTW, I find snails hate crawling on lose soil, so I combat this by using the expandable eco earth with a very thin layer of moss on top. This also helps to hold in the humditity as soil dries out pretty quickly actually. You may also find that tub is not suitable for Poppy. Snails love to climb, she may be uncomfortable crawling over the slats and along the roof with all the different lumps and bumps and flaps etc and there may be too much ventillation?

You have obviously only met dull snails in the past then! My little group are freakin hilarious and all have their own wee quirks and personalities :)

hey george i bet your reptile room is gettin pretty full now?? do ya fancy postin us a pic to see how there all looking together?

nice snails by the way mate, i have to say there not really my cup of tee but there pretty cute.

Sure! Just finished work! :D
I'll take one after my shower :)
Look's like I won't be getting a new reptile + set-up every week like I first planned when I started full time employment :/
I'm now saving to go on a holiday to visit my nana and grandad with my dad and brother in Cyprus in there massive house! We will also be going diving hopefully and on a cruise!
This time I'll be able to look out for wild snake in cyprus too! Last time I went I was like 10..

We should be going in September! :D
