Black Rat: yet another Rat Snake DUW

tricksterpup

I has nuttin to Say.
Ok folks here is another rat snake, a black rat. I got this girl a few weeks ago and she is turning out to be a nice snake. She is about 60 + grams and turning a nice dark and that yellow is disappearing. I am hoping she becomes a solid black rat and not a chocolate brown one.

She looks sweet! I didn't know they came in chocolate brown.

Well I call it Chocolate brown due to the lack of Black. They are typically a dark brown and it mainly happens when you come up North this way. They either have white or yellow on them along with the dark colors.
This is one from Ohio.

Here in St Louis/So. IL, we breed them black :) I love them. They are sooo non-aggressive, but take care of the birds and rodents so well. Good luck with your little one :)
