Some pics of Velvet...

Velvet

Totally corn crazy!!!!
To celebrate my birthday last week, Velvet and I took a trip to my friend's farm on saturday to have a lovely outride, do a few cross country jumps and just generally have a good time!!

I want to start getting Velvet used to Cross country as I think she would really enjoy it! And guess what! SHE DOES!!! lol The jumps were bigger than I thought they were, some of them MUCH bigger... but she went flying over everything (including a triple combination with a HUGE spread at the end!!!!!! She LEAPT over that easy-peasy! lol).

On our way back, Velvet decided to roll in a huge puddle of mud! With me on board and all! One second I was on her back, the next I was ankle deep in mud (still on her back!). I got off and got her up before she rolled on my saddle luckily! hehehehe So please excuse how dirty she is in some of the pics!!! :D

Hehehe Vel has a very expressive top lip. Her most common thing to do is to make it go squarish and twiddle it at you when you are talking to her...its adorable.

In this pic though, she was playing with a tuft of grass. :)

She realy looks nice Meg think a good base for breeding a nice jumping horse with her!
Wish you luck wit this!

Excellent pics! I'm always amazed by how un-exotic South Africa looks. It looks just like anywhere!

Good heavens NO! lol She's a Thoroughbred! hehehe

SA looks pretty bland and boring at the moment as its the end of winter...not a "jungle" though...if that's what you were expecting. lol Its mostly grass land and bushveld where I live.

I'm Jealous... I miss my horse so much... By the way what's wrong with a good old quarter horse? :D Mine was a quarter/paint cross...

lol Nothing wrong with QHs...just that QHs are not that common here, paints are even rarer.

QH stock here is slowly improving but I'm afraid alot of the older stock looks 1/4 horse 3/4 something else. lol

Oh OK... I don't care what type of horse in the future I get, I just want another one someday... By the way, Velvet is very beautiful...
