I don't go on vacation very often...LOL But when I do I have a longtime friend who I trust, she actually used to run the local petshop for 15 years or so...so she watches the crew while I'm gone.
Yes it is! It's actually an Ocellated Skink...I bought it for $2.00 and was going to feed it to one of the Indo Tree Boas (Still only take lizards) But he was kinda neat looking so now he hangs out on the computer desk and watches me type. LOL
And the Indo...well she just has get by on Anoles...LOL

Are those different types of snapping turtles? What are they? What are their personalities like? I've always loved them!

The bottom ones are yes....
"Monster" is a common snapper....long neck....
The other 2 are Alligator Snappers (very short neck) These are slightly more laid back, but still act like typical snappers most of the time. However they are much easier to work than common snappers as they don't have much of a "reach".
Definitely fun though!

Wow! So the alligator snappers are actually more laid back? That surprises me. Alligator snappers have been not only my favorite turtle, but one of my favorite animals period, since childhood. They're fantastic looking!

Well don't get me wrong...snappers are still snappers but in my experience Alligator snappers are less likely to actually come after you, where as I've had more than one common snapper turn around and advance towards me mouth wide and snapping....even when released. So in that respect I would say they are more laid back.

Actually a friend of mine called me up one day and told me about it and I was like, sure get it....(thinking cheap snake food) ended up just being a cheap neat keeper..LOL
