Big Jake Bite Club Renewal!!

Nanci

Alien Lover
So this morning, five minutes before I am ready to go out the door, I notice Big Jake's windows are fogged up. Water spill! I go check, and yes, he has pooped in his Big Jake-size water bowl. I take the bowl, throw the contents out the back door, put the bowl in the sink with soap, and get a bag to clean out the wet shavings. If Jake gets in his bowl, he displaces a lot of water. About a third of his shavings are soaked, and he is out roaming around, not hiding safely. Look at how much I had to remove! During removal, Jake makes a break for the door, but I block him.

Then I go get the huge, nearly full bag of aspen. I hoist the thing up on the counter and try to flick clumps of aspen into Jake's cage without getting it all over the kitchen. So I get a bunch in, and am fluffing it back to the back of the cage, when WHAM! Jake strikes! Scared the you know what out of me! But it was perfectly understandable, I'm sure he had no idea I was behind the flying aspen.

Here's the damage:

It didn't bleed, I didn't cry! I guess I'd better take Mr. Cranky out tonight for some petting, now that he has the taste of human blood in his mouth...

I tried to take a picture of Jake on my keyboard just now so you could see how massive he is- not a good idea. He was not cooperative and shut down a bunch of stuff and then took off and got tangled in the USB web...

Wow Nanci...I was considering a Florida King...but seeing all that horrible carnage is making me want muh wussy gloves!
I'm sceered!

I think the tin foil paper cut I received last night whilst opening the fish food was worse than that bite - LOL!!

I'm already thinking up possible names for a future florida king......

I'm considering either Monarch or Maytag, as both are companies that make garbage disposals.

Monarch is another word for King :)

And Maytag......well lookee what Big Jake did, he DIDtag!! LOL LOL

Or maybe, I need 2 kings........ggrrrrrr :)

I tell you what, Beth, every time I look at Janine, she's just such a thing of beauty. I love the white-sides. Although if you could find a bone white, that would be the best, but no way...But then Joe (CaptainBogart) has those high-oranges- those are very beautiful too! Still- I love looking at my J9.

I saw one on Kathy Love's site with high oranges....gorgeous thing!

Your Big Jake is nothing to sneeze at, either!

Won't be til next summer at the earliest...but....I'm already dreaming!

Awesome Jake is, I cant get Domino to sit still yet, I was told Domino is a proven Breeder, I should ship her to Jake for a few one night stands

Actually, Jake went to live with Tara in, wherever she lives, out east, and then was eventually re-homed when the snake collection was reduced. Because of Jake's gentle nature, he went to a person doing reptile education- where it was discovered jake was a female!
