nice healthy female

bit of background
knew she was due so i left her alone for a good 48hrs
anyway second egg was a (slug)
i massaged it out luckily it was right by the vent but sideways
i think she was trying to pass the egg for like 24+hrs
anyway she is too tired to pass the rest of the eggs
question is i felt like 10 eggs very high up last night know where near the vent and they haven't moved at all from when i checked last night

should i massage and move them down
leave her alone
give her a bath
etc etc

any advice appreciated

With that many eggs to go a vet may be needed now. I have heard of people sticking a thin needle between the scales into the eggs and aspirating them, but with that many I wouldn't try it myself. How old is she and what is her weight? I have had an egg bound female lizard who was saved by my vet, but I have zero experience with snake eggs sorry.

(Unfortunately!) I've had some experience with this...hope I can help. If you're not already, you should be massaging her several times a day. I have tried a luke warm bath in this instance...and it may help just 'cause she'll really get a lot of exercise in a short period of time (so it may or help or not!). If it's been three days, you need to be more worried about mom over the eggs at this point.
If she hasn't passed any eggs after a few days, you should find a local vet with herp experience. The vet can aspirate the lower 1-3 eggs that are stuck. The vet may give her several rounds of oxytocin also, this will cause her to have contractions, and hope she gets the rest of the eggs out. If all else fails, the last resort is surgery, which is pricey. Good luck!

thanks for the advice
i manged to get them ALL out by lubing the exit
i nkow have 13 eggs 2 are questionable

thanks again

I would be interested to hear how the eggs do. All eggs that I have ever heard of that don't come out on their own don't usually hatch. Please keep us abreast of your results. I wish you luck.

looked this morning all gone bad:puke02:
really smelling bad also
not good
well at least she is ok but i have lost confidence in breeding her again

If you decide to not breed her again, that's ok, but she could always be a great mother in the future. It can make all the difference in the world if you give her lots of exercise while she's gravid! If you try again, just make sure you do that (in case you're not already doing it)
:)

you maybe onto something there
she is the most secretive snake i have
i have to coax her out of hiding to eat and put her in separate container
otherwise she proberly wouldn't eat
apart from that she stays hid away

so lots of exersize is the key for troblesome females?

Snakes are secretive creatures...that's par for the course. It's natural for her to stay hiding and fairly inactive until she starts searching for her lay box.
The exercise is very important...handling her while she's gravid will tone and exercise all her muscles she'll need once her contractions start. Plus you can consider it one more excuse to have "one-on-one" time with her too:D
