Took my lunch to the park again today. My focus today was trying to catch birds in flight. There is a hawk that lives in the park. It is either a Sharpshin or a Cooper’s…I don’t know. My raptor identification is not up to par. They have too many legs for my taste. Doesn’t matter…I didn’t see him today anyhow. But I WILL get pictures of him flying and, hopefully, hunting before the end of the summer…

I did manage to catch a crow and a seagull in flight. There were some other more “odd” flying creatures at the park today, too…

Sweet pics Chris :) I like the crow and the way the light illuminates the feathers on the seagull.. I am particularly fond of birds in the corvidae family though, especially ravens ;)
 
So...is that a Raven or a Crow? I can't ID birds for nothin'. They have too many appendages and move too quickly...
 
I thought this was....

going to be about airplanes or jets. Or a trip you were taking on a flying machine.;)
 
Judging by the tail, I believe its a crow. Ravens tail feathers come to more of a point instead of being rounded like that. It also looks smaller. Ravens are larger like hawks and crows are smaller like pigeons.

I have no idea what you just said. And I have no idea who that kid is. There is a skate/bike park at the town park where I go for lunch. Huge pond with a tone of ducks and gulls, too...

(I don't know why I'm thinking this, but I always thought crows had black legs, and ravens had yellow...)

lol. its ok. its what hes doing. i ride bikes so most wouldnt understand. but great pics again.
