  • They are fine. Pheobe is up to 216 grams but also had a regurge this week...she had 3 weanlings like the rest of our girls but I guess it was just too much for her. At least she is gaining weight.
You could get them all snakes!!!!! We have some nice Fires and an adult female Avalance in right now! Tempting I know!
I doubt we will be there in Dec...saving up for Christmas now...19 yr old and 17 yr old get money, 11 yr old gets "stuff" because he is easier to buy for :)
It's Dec 11! I wanna see you there! Richmond is the 23rd of Oct. I am SOOOO jealous of your big boy, Rio!
Yea, we had a huge cleaning job to do for a bank foreclosure home and another move out rental cleaning....might go in Jan, but not sure yet
Hey! I missed you at the last Manassas show! you could have prevented my impulse buy!!!!
Yea, pet stores don't seem to know alot about individual reptile care. So they, in my experience, generalize proper care. For instance, it seems they always say they "need overhead lighting and the biggest viv you can get and can be kept with many different species." One guy sold us a corn then later told us he kept it in with toads, turtles and other corns! We use spring water. I am not sure about things other than lizards and mice for them to eat. I know lizards can get pretty expensive. And frozen/thawed mice is the best way to go since there is less chance of injury to the snake and parasites that occur in live mice colonies...not in all of course, since they start out that way to begin with. But it is safer to stick with frozen/thawed mice. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me! Good luck with your new baby!
Hello, I saw you were online. I have a question. We just got our 1st corn today, a red looking classical corn baby. The pet store didn't have great info (go figure), anyways when putting water in bowl do you use regular tap water or something to dilute the water??? Also other than pinkies and lizards what can baby corns eat??? Frogs, toads, cricketts, earth worms, meal worms poss., or none of them???
We are doing okay Lee. Bella never did lay any eggs. Not sure why. Our butter laid 6, one being a slug a couple of days earlier than the other 5, now 2 are ??? And we had one who was never bred lay slugs and one that looked good so we have it in the incubator..who knows what happened before we got her. Glad you guys are well
Havre de Grace is a very, very small show. They do have supplies, which is often the only reason I attend. Our guys are good, except the boa has mites. I just got the stuff to treat this week (I was out of miteicide) and will be doing that today. I think we are going to start treating all of our QT animals just as a general course. It's easy and not too expensive, and saves a lot of headaches. Thank God we had him in QT.
The Repticon was ok..smaller than I expected and not very many corns at all. That is why I came home with only 1 corn, 2 boas and 1 ratsnake! I am still waiting for eggs....she has gained weight..23 grams in about 10 days!
