on the last two inches of my cornsnakes tail there is a dark brownish marking, im wondering if it is a burn or could it be dead skin because he did just shed but i dont know if he shed all the way because the skin didnt look as long as he is

I was wondering if it is better to breed mice or buy them at a local pet store. I also heard live food is bad because they can attack your snake and scar it.

I just got a brand new hatchling and i was wondering if anyone has any advice. When can i handle the snake? And just general answers and advice like that.... Thanks a lot

I have another problem. I dont think the snake knows where his water bowl is. He might have found it late at night but im not sure. Are there any ways to ensure that he found it? I cant pick it up because i got it just a couple of days ago... how long should i wait to pick it up anyway?
I heard that frozen food is better for feeding them. I heard the mice and rats will fight back and attack the cornsnake. I just got a high pink cornsnake this mornig and they recomended frozen food. Does anyone have any say on this?
I got a new high pink cornsnake and all it does is roll into a ball in the corner of its tank. I think it found its water bowl butit hasnt moved much. Is this common? I think I should give it more time but i just want another persons opinion.
