I once saw someone pop their baby corn incorrectly and cause a prolapse. Not saying that's necessarily what happened here, but is it possible you used a bit too much pressure? When feeding in the enclosure, there's a slight risk of impaction due to accidentally eating the substrate that's stuck to the mouse. It's not super common, but that would be the next thing I would be considering.
Hopefully it will keep getting better and work itself out!
