Thought I would just revive this thread since I had a very female heavy clutch this season, and I think it might be related to the cool incubation temps.
1:: Number of eggs laid in clutch, good vs. slugs?
13 eggs laid, 10 good, 3 slugs
1a:: Morph of the mother of the clutch?
Red factor snow
1b:: Age of the mother of the clutch?
3 years
1c:: Was this the mother's first season?
Yes
1e:: Were losses contributed to her, incubation problems, or something else? Please specify.
Unsure
1f:: Days from copulation until laying ((if known))?
35 days from first copulation
1g:: Morph of the father of the clutch?
Fire
1h:: Age of the father of the clutch?
8 years
1i:: Was this the father's first season?
Yes
1k:: Were losses contributed to him, incubation problems, or something else? Please specify.
Unsure
2:: Temperature of incubation?
Room temp, but due to a move while incubating, the eggs were kept quite cool for the last few weeks of incubation (probably low 70s)
2a:: What incubator was used? Or was it maternal incubation?
Plastic shoebox
2b:: Did the temperature fluctuate during incubation? If so, what was the temperature range?
Yes. Temps weren't specifically measured, but likely ranged from very low 70s to high 70s
2c:: Incubation medium used?
Vermiculite with sphagnum moss on top
2d:: Humidity range?
Did not measure, kept the medium moist to the touch
2e:: Length (in days) of incubation?
90 days
3:: Number of eggs that hatched?
10
3a:: Were there any problems during incubation that caused eggs not to hatch, such as temperature fluctuations or mold?
All fertile eggs hatched
3b:: Were eggs separated or left in a pile?
Eggs were laid separately, not stuck together
3c:: Were the eggs cut or allowed to pip on their own? ((I think this is more for ball pythons than for corns, but you know.))
Eggs were given a small slit 24 hours after the first natural pip
3d:: Were there any dead in egg? If so, were the embryos fully formed or deformed?
No
4:: Resulting ratio of sexes, males.females?
8 females, 1 male, 1 unsexed
4a:: Resulting morphs of males.females?
All amels
4b:: Number of males.females that ate the first time food was offered?
6 females ate first meal, 1 male ate first meal
4c:: Number of males.females that were/are non-eaters?
1 female hasn't eaten yet (only two attempts so far), 1 female refused the first meal, ate the second meal, and refused the third meal
4d:: Number of males.females that perished after hatching?
None
4e:: Number of males.females with deformities, and what kind ((jaw, eyes, kinks, etc))?
One baby (didn't think to sex it) was born with severe kinking and was euthanized. It pipped and came out of the egg on its own.
4f:: Number of males.females with "attitude" ((you know the ones!))?
2 females are very feisty, all others are fairly relaxed
4g:: Number of males.females with a shy/hiding personality?
All babies
4h:: Number of males.females with a "chill" personality?
2 females seem extra chill
