I am so glad you said that! I think I will check them out this weekend and hold off purchasing a snake until then.

One thing to remember is that thermostats can and do fail, usually in the 'on' position, so a digital thermometer set to alarm at high temps is a good investment

Thank you! That sounds like a very good idea. Any particular kinds of UTHs you prefer?

Yeah, the Mesa show is the best one, too. I really enjoyed it last year and am going again this year. You should certainly be able to find a baby there.
And, whichever kind of UTH you get, you might wrap it in the shiny, silvery duct tape so that you can remove it later and re-use it when your snakes moves to a bigger tank.

Welcome from another Phoenician! There is a group of us in the east valley that orders mice together, thus saving on shipping and, if you don't need so many of one size, you can split orders. http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=133650 is our most recent thread, we have already gotten them for this month, but post whatever you want when you need them and we will get you in for the next order.
Have you gotten your baby yet? I would definitely buy from one of the breeders here, great selections and great people! Welcome!

Thank you for the warm welcome! I am in the West Valley, but the drive would be worth it! ^.^ I've already bought enough mice to last six months or so, but that is great to know.
My baby arrived Tuesday and I got him from Michelle's Candied Corns who I found on here! ^.^ He is such a sweetie. Once I can handle him (Monday) I was going to put up some pictures.
