New and want to have a happy and healthy snake

Hi,

I know there’s been so many discussions and advice but a lot is conflicting and I want to be a great snake mummy! We got a corn snake about a month ago (so he’s now about 3 months old) and need to do his first full vivarium clean but could do with advice regarding his branch, do I soak it In hot water first and then put it in the oven for half an hour? Do you have to do that every month?

Also, his water bowl is currently on the same side as his heat mat, he shed no problem but now concerned it might be too humid in there? What’s the best % humidity wise? Should I move his water bowl?
Thanks
