Skink enjoying the sunshine

We had a break in the rains the other day, and saw a skink taking full advantage of it at the base of one of the palm trees in front of the house. Skinks are usually pretty skitterish, but this one seemed unconcerned about Connie and I walking past and not about to give up it's sunbathing on our account.

So cute! Love those little guys with their stripes and blue tail. Much prettier than the fence lizards we have around here.
