Is aluminum foil covered hide a bad idea?

Then what would be recommended to cover or darken a homemade cave?

Instead of using clear Tupperware containers you could possibly buy dark colored ones which then serve the purpose as covering the hid with aluminum foil.
Or you could also buy pre-made caves that are sold in pet stores which are intended for safe use and contact with the snakes.
If you are into the creative aspect of making homemade caves you could also carve insulation foam and paint them (be careful with paint also).
