In the DIY I think he said to use Krylon because it adheres to glass really well and dries a little quicker. But I used a 98 cent can of Flat Black from Home Depot. I taped off the whole front and hit one side at a time, letting each side completely dry before turning it to do the other sides. Then on the front (after the sides were dry) I taped off all but about 2 inches at the top and bottom to give it a "widescreen" kinda look.

I have tried lots of substrates and arrangements for my vivs. My Amel R/O really loves this set up though.




That grass I had in there was too thin though and died pretty quickly. I used a wider blade grass when I redid it recently.

That is sweet. Does your snake every get dirty though. i shouldn't say dirty but more like muddy?
