Husbandry and Basic CareGeneral stuff about keeping and maintaining cornsnakes in captivity.
finally i've got everything running and i'm gonna give it a night or 2 to get everything settled so i can get my temps just right before moving the little ones in. 10 adult/20 hatchlings on this rack. Nothing special but i'm excited to see it work.
working great. I dont get to see them as much as i did when they were in the viv but climates are much easier to control. It feels nice not having to worry about temperatures.
Still no digi cam, but maybe after the next paycheck.
Hey Cav, I've read the whole post, and I am still a little confused as to how you suggest setting up the heattape...
I've only ever used under tank heaters with rheostats... So I'm not even sure how heat tape works... I think it's time to upgrade so me and three of my most unhandiman buds have decided to build your rack system... With any luck, it'll look identical. 8-P
Heat tape is 3"-11" wide, thin plastic. It has metallic strips embedded inside of it. When an electric current in run through these strips, heat is generated. The wiring is then plugged into a thermostat that maintains the temperature at a designated set point.
You can either run the tape under the back of the tubs or behind the back of the tub.
