Not Eating

Hey! My corn snake, Win, won't eat at all. We fed him when we first got him because the pet store has never given him any food. He took that immediately and we had zero issues we regurgitation. Now it has been 10 days since then and he has refused to eat anything. I'm not sure what's going on or if I'm possibly doing something wrong. If anyone has any tips or ways to help please let me know

No I checked his eyes and everything and he's definitely not about to shed

No worries, you don't need to quote me for me to get a notification!

Can you tell me a bit more about his setup, temps, etc.? And what are your feeding methods and how often are you attempting?

Win is currently in a 10 gallon enclosure. The warm side gets up to about 87 degrees and cooler end will get down to 76. Right now we have pinkies and I will heat them up in a bowl of warm water for about 30 minutes before the feeding and I've fed attempted feeding 4 times. He only took is the first time which was on the 11th, the day we adopted him. The pet store had him for about a week and had never given him food so he took that mouse immediately. Since then he hasn't seemed at all interested in the mice we've offered even though he appears to be hunting

Are you feeding him in his enclosure or a separate container? Are you leaving the mouse with him or attempting to feed him off of tongs?

His enclosure looks decent, but in order to help him feel a bit more secure (and therefore more willing to eat), I would add some more clutter and ground cover, like fake leaves. Adding some small, tight hides would help as well.

I feed him in the enclosure with tongs. I've been looking around on Amazon for some leaves and hides as well so I just need to order those. I was holding off because I was worried changing his home would be stressful for him

Here's my advice:

Give him two or three days in between feeding attempts. On his feeding day, wait until the evening, then place him in a small, ventilated container. Put that container in a quiet, dark place. Leave him be in the container for about half an hour. Heat up a frozen pinkie using very hot water. Drop it in with him, close the lid, and leave it with him for another half hour. Check on him after that. If he hasn't eaten, reheat it and leave it with him overnight. If he still hasn't eaten by morning, throw it away and try again in a few days.

Do feel free to add a bit more stuff to his enclosure. And I would also recommend ceasing any recreational handling until he's eaten several times for you.

Good luck and please let me know how it goes!

Thank you! I will definitely try yours and other methods until we find a good rhythm
