Shedding vs eating

My snake had the the milky eyes of pre shedding. He killed but did not eat a mouse. Eyes don't appear milky now several days later but no shed. What's up with this?

He's currently in the 'clear' phase. He should shed within a day or two now. It's pretty common for them not to eat while in blue. In the wild, they generally wouldn't be out hunting during a shed. In the future, you can skip feeds when you see him go blue so you don't have to waste a mouse.

Yep, shed yesterday. Gobbled down a mouse today.
