Daylight or uvb?

I moved one of my snakes out of a 20 gallon long into his permanent enclosure. Its in a darker corner of the room so I want to get some kind of bright light on the tank.

I'm going with a linear fluorescent, should I just go ahead and use a low ubv, like a 2.0?

Corn snakes don't need supplementary UV of any sort. It can also be potentially damaging to morphs which lack melanin. It's kind and wise to give your snake light. Basically, whatever type or color of light you prefer to see him/her in is fine.

I agree. It's nice for them to have some light, but I wouldn't make it a bright light. Something soft in the daytime and darkness at night is what I would do. Good luck!!

Thank you. I never though about the uvb being hard on certain morphs. I'll get a simple under cabinet light for day use

Good deal. Again, it's cool when people care.
