They do grow out of the big head syndrom eventually. The adults have relatively small heads compared to other snakes.

OOPS, I looked...

Aaah! I've never seen one so tiny! These guys are probably more common even than garter snakes where I am. Nice pic.

Like garter snakes these are live-bearing snakes. The young shed immediately after birth.
