First Herpin' Trip of 2007

Took my son out to Newport News Park today. It was cold and windy and there was little hope of seeing anything. But a bad day outside is a better than a good day inside. So off we went.

Excellent! I found an anole wintering on my lawn mower and dug up a skink when I was planting something yesterday.

I like that sign about Cottonmouths. One thing I would change: instead of saying "You are entering...," I would say, "You've been in Eastern Cottonmouth Habitat for about the last 1/2 mile."
