Crazy Snake Dance

Hi I have a male cornsnake who until recently was very calm. Ever since he shed awhile ago he has been acting very agitated. When I reached into the cage he rattled his tail, which caught me off guard and scared the poop out of me! He is very active doing what I now call his crazy snake dance and trying to bump and scrape his mug on the screen of the cage. Any ideas or help as to why he is acting looney would be helpful!

Thanks,

Misti

Sounds to me like, he is in search of a mate.

Just my $0.02,

That is what my friend said too, but I was wondering when does mating seasom subside?
