Exploring the viv!

So my new corn is starting to explore the viv a lot more, especially now that I added a new rock cave hide, and a tissue box. Adding these things enabled him to reach the top of the viv, and he is crawling around the edge on a gap between the tank and the screen. He can't get out, but I wanted to know if this is bad for him. Should I put something there so he can't crawl around up there? Obviously it won't be a problem for long, because soon he will be too big to get in the gap! Thanks for your help!

Mine cover every inch including narrow edges and whatever there is to climb on.
as long as there are no sharp edges anywhere he should be just fine.

Best of luck!

Awesome, I just wanted to check! Thanks! I'm just glad he is exploring. Seems like he is enjoying his new home.

Just wait until you can't find him, and realize he's sleeping up in that gap. It's a pretty common place for them to hide, the narrow space offers the security they need, and (while i know this isn't actually the case) i swear they know it makes it quicker/easier to try and escape when the lid comes off.

Yup, agreed with everyone. My Scarlett LOVES her "perch"!

My boy did that the very first night he was in his viv and it scared me to death because the night before I read about how they are stronger then they look and spooked myself with reading a few stories about snakes vanishing. I think he got tired of doing it though. It should be fine as long as you know your baby can't lift it!

Mine has done that, but freaked out when I lifted the lid and fall off on to her plastic tree, then slithered back into her cave looking for all the world like she was embarrassed.
