i hate stupid power cuts!!!

For those of you who don't know me, i have been keeping snakes for 45 years now, i had a collection of over 400 snakes.


On saturday, we had a mass powercut, so the heating in my house and in my snake room went down.

The powercut remained for 4 days, i live in alaska, so without heating, room temp is around -40 degrees celsius

despite my attempts to keep them warm using hand warmers etc. over the 4 day period, all bar 2 of my snakes died.

I have buried them all in my back garden.

does anybody on here know somebody who is selling snakes in serious bulk?

This is a most depressing time for me, the only survivors were my flying snakes and my retics :cry:
 
Really sorry for your lost. I live in Canada when the temperature can drop as low as -20C. Hope I never will have the same problem...

This may seem like a stupid question, but if it was -40 inside, wouldn't the ground in your garden be frozen??? :shrugs:
 
Last time I checked the US state of Alaska uses Fahrenheit, not the metric measure of Celsius. ;)
 
not only that, but if you lived in alaska, wouldn't you be keeping a generator around incase of power outages so that you could run your heat...especially if you have over 400 snakes?

at 10:59am talking about your flying snake flying out the window, then you turned arround and posted how all your snake died but 2. and you had 400, and you were trying to keep all 400 warm. i think this smells like bs. then you turn arround and post this message at 11:06 am the same day. what is up with that. so you had the window open in alaska when it was storying and its -40 degrees. sorry but major case of bs. if your gonna play a joke do it some wear else. by the way it says the time you posted and the date in the black part above your name :rolleyes:
