I had to post a few more pics of this guy. I've got to do some research on these corns, because this one amazes me. He doesn't look like he had belly checks that faded out; he looks like he never had them. If he is truly a genetic normal, then my awe at the natural variety of corns will be kicked up a few notches. I really like his coloration too. I think he's about to go into shed, so we'll see what he looks like in a few weeks. If Carol ever decides to part with his sister, I hope she contacts me first.

That is because he never did have them. I found some old threads I thought you'd be interested in. One has baby pics of the pair, and a baby pic of his belly. The second is a pic of sister, she ended up with more of the "Miamish" coloring and he ended up the "Golden" variety. And here are some belly pics of one of their offspring.

Thanks. He's one of my favorites too. In the two months and one week that I've had him, he's gained 120g. He has been fed one adult mouse every seven days. He's at 385g now, and starting to look a little chunky. Keys corns are supposed to be slender in build, so I'm about to start extending his feeding frequency to every ten days.

I think I just love how is colors all kind of wash over each other, and I really like the golden yellow that creeps up the side.
