'04 Yellow Snow ;)

Bobo's Mama

proud corn mommy!
Here is Glacier. She is the slow-growing '04 pink n' green snow that I got from Misty Lundberg, who originally got her from Kathy Love. She eats regularly, and has an incredible feeding response; she just doesn't grow much. When she arrived in February she was only 48g, but she has finally decided to put on some weight and is now at 96g. Eventhough she is an '04, I feed her like a hatchling at every 5 days. She is currently eating small hoppers. She won't ever be bred, but will remain a very pretty pet snake. I just lover her bright yellow belly checkers and neck stripe. I don't think I've ever posted pics of her on here before. The last picture shows what she loves doing best. She ALWAYS constricts her food and has even tagged me a few times.

Have you tried rats instead of mice? I had some slow growers, and I noticed that they were the more active ones, always cruising their tubs to see what was going on in the room, and constricting their prey so violently I thought the mouse would pop. I figured they were burning up the calories with all the activity, so I switched them to rats. They started to grow at a much faster rate, and maintained great muscle structure from their continued exercise... :shrugs:

I just have mice right now. The only f/t rats I have are way too big for her. I don't want to order f/t rats just for one corn. Its not too important to me that she grow fast or anything. She has great muscle tone, sheds great, poops a lot, and loves to eat. She seems happy to me!

Have you tried more than one hopper or a small mouse size? Might help the growth as well. I know pictures are deceiving without reference, but she looks big enough. :shrugs: Great color!
