'06 high yellow blizzard

bekers71

What addiction?!
It's been quit a while since this little guy has had his pic taken. So after his shed and a couple big fuzzies he was ready for a photo shoot. He's gowning so fast now that he has been on fuzzies. He is now 164 grams of sweetness. :)

Now THAT is a blizzard I like! Call me weird, but totally white snakes do absolutely nothing for me.

And I don't like all that yellow on a blizzard, which is why I still don't have one in my collection :) I'm curious where it comes from since a Blizzard is Charcoal based if I remember right... selective breeding?

*GASP!* Are you saying you don't like my blizzard. LOL Just kidding. It would be interesting to find out how this happens. I thought he would lose the yellow but it seems the bigger he gets the more predominant the yellow is. :shrugs:

LOL Sorry Becky... he does have a cute face, but I have no desire to take him or one like him home :)

Of course, I don't care much for orange snakes either and three of my six are orange, so what do I know :D

A good friend of mine just acquired a female that we both swore could not possible be a true blizzard beause it was so colorful. I just emailed him a picture of your baby. Maybe I can convince him to post a picture of his girl. It would be cool to do a breeding trial with your guy to see if the color passes on....

Nice Becky. Where did you get that? I am wondering if there is something else going on there, like being het for Caramel. Cool Blizzard.

Thanks Jay. He is unusual. This is the guy I got from BezilsGirl back in January for free. I have to get a charcoal one of these days. :)

And I thought one of my holdback females from '06 had a lot of yellow. That's a ridiculous amount of yellow on a Blizzard!! :) Looks good.

If she doesn't have a boyfriend next year, maybe he can come visit her. ;)
My girl wouldn't be worthy. Seriously, you'll want to pair him up with a girl that has more yellow than what I have to share! I prefer the clean pure-white Blizzards. The yellow on my girl is just enough to realize there's a pattern and there's yellow. :)

The fallacy that "charcoal" means "no yellow" really does have to end. I personally LIKE the blizzards with more yellow. This can be selected for just like most other modifications of simple recessive genes. I've never bothered to really put an effort into it, though, since I didn't believe there was a large demand for "yellow blizzards." Still, I keep this girl around because I like looking at her.
