'06 Topaz Corn (Lava-Caramel): Freshly Shed

Joe Pierce produced little Florence. She's possibly het for amel and motley. Joe likes the name topaz for this combo-morph, so I'll support his preference. I think Flo and her two topaz sibs are the only three in the world, so I don't think the morph name will be a contentious issue for some time. ;) She and the lava and ultra-caramel that I got from Joe on the same day are all eagerly scarfing pinks when offered.

Topaz is a good name. That's my birthstone. She's a gorgeous girl. Of course the corns are all eating for you, that's because corns are _cooperative_! Usually.

:bang: STUNNING!

Of course I'm bubbling over with jealousy... you have all the fun new morphs

wow dean, her colors are so clean. This is gonna be a fun one to watch for sure.

A lovely name for what appears to be some lovely little snakelets. I'll look forward to seeing what they look like as adults.

To be honest, when I saw the title of your thread I wasn't sure how I would like the lava and caramel together, but upon seeing this little beauty....wow, changed my mind really quickly!! That color is just so rich! I agree that I will enjoy watching the progression on her as she grows up.

I'm happy to see update pics of her. Florence is looking absolutely gorgeous. Lucky you to have such a special little snake. Keep the photos coming!!!

Thanks for the nice comments. :)

Her irises look green in these photos, but they look a little bluer in person. They look cool either way.

Very strange... What can we expect as she matures and her looks differ from what they are now?
I expect that her groundcolor will be an even gold/yellow. Her pattern color will likely lighten. My caramel mot, and even my butters, went through big color changes from youngsters to yearlings. In some ways, I'm hoping she retains the high-contrast look she has now, but with the ground color uniform gold/yellow from head to tail. Who knows? :shrugs:

And how much IYO has the ultra gene influenced her looks? I dont know much about ultras at all...

She's homo for caramel and lava-- not ultra. I bought an ultra-caramel female at the same time, but this isn't her. For this snake, the lava gene has given her saddles a rich color, redder than a standard caramel, and much brighter than a standard caramel would exhibit at this age/size. The lava gene is probably responsible for the very washed-out appearance of the belly checkers too. :)

Lol you know what I meant Dean - same difference :p

You need to make a progression thread for her in your forum - as well as that Z. Im very interested in seeing how both those animals progress.

I'll be looking out for progression pics of this little lady, she's got sooooo much colour already & really cool ventral markings...... Beautiful....

me too mate... its also given me an idea..
might stick the ice male to the caramel female i got from rich last week? thats gotta be worth a shout.
