11yrs of...

TandJ

Ole' Stoic Viper...
sobriety.. As of January 10th, I have celebrated 11yrs of sobriety and clean time.. The last time I drank was Jan 10th 1996, and after three Coors Light, I sat the bottle down for the final time and accepted the cold hard truth, I was an alcoholic..

Serenity Prayer..

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.

Regards... Tim of T and J

Congrats, 11 years is a long time clean. I know your struggle, i had a drug addiction for 10 years, and finally went into rehab. Iv been clean and sober for 3 1/2 years now, and am loving life.

Congrats Tim, I went to a meeting once with a friend it was her 10th year clean and sober. I didn't want to go but it was the mosting moving and eye opening time I've ever spent. It takes a lot of guts to go through the process and stay there. congrats, susang

Congratulations Tim!. You are a strong willed individual and a true inspiration to others. Hats off to you my friend.

Congrats!!

That is so awesome... give yourself a pat on the back and maybe take your family out for a treat for yourself (if you have family, if not go out with your friends). I wish I had the will power to quit smoking and over eating... lol.

Congratulations!!!

Lil. :)

I am so very proud of you, Tim. It is a long and wondrful time for you and a full life ahead. I have lost my whole family to alcoholism (I don't drink) and it was such a waste of life. CONGRATULATIONS to you, dear man

Congrats Tim for having the courage to recognize the problem when you did and the fortitude to stick to your decision to kick the habit!

Thanks Friends.. I appreciate the support, of course I am now looking for 12 step for snakies.. However, I will accept this addiction ( The Snakes ) over the blind confusion and frustration I have tried to put behind me for a decade.. Even if I am a snarky, big mouthed, knuckle head, there is something to look forward to, a meeting here every day! *LOL*

Appreciated... Tim of T and J
