Dreamcatcher
Ahhhh well,

There goes my 'free time' ...............

The 1st clutch has 'pipped' & are now settled in their post-slough box.

Only a small clutch from a 1st time lady - 10 eggs (lost 1 in incubation).

The Sire:- Butter Stripe:

AWESOME BABIES!!!

How many butter stripes are there and how many others?

Ah Thank You

As for the 'others'............hmmm, there were 10 eggs in this clutch (lost 1 in incubation) = 9.

9 Butter Stripe hatchlings, go figure !

I suspect that Mama is, indeed, a homzygous Snow Caramel Stripe because of this outcome.

However, I shall see what she produces next year & go from there.:rofl:

Congratulations, those are some great looking hatchlings there and 9 out of 9 as stripe is a fantastic result :D

Could I ask if you would post a pic of the Female as you said you think she may be homo Snow Caramel Stripe? I have a Xanthic Snow (homo Amel, Anery and Caramel) and would love to see a pic of an adult, although I believe you said yours is stripe as well, it would still be lovely to see :)

Many thanks and congrats again,

That's one heck of a result............. :crazy02:

Cheers Brian,

I have a sub-adult Butter Stripe female (2006) who is 350 grams, so, I could have mated her if I was real desperate to produce 100% definate Butter Stripe hatchlings.

However, I prefer to wait for the ladies to reach 450 - 500 grams before breeding......patience has it's rewards. ;)

My 'shot in the dark' worked out extremely well with the choices that I made.

Thank you for your kind congrats Susie,

I will see what I can do on the photo............downloaded the majority of photo's on the 'backup' dvd.

I allso got 44 butter stripes this year, and my best friend got 20
Seems there will be enough butter stripes in EU this year !

Bid for Life

Hi Guys,

.........and just to confuse things No 10 made his/her 'bid for life' last night & 'pipped' over 50 hours after the siblings.

This morning he/she is out of the egg, but, still attached to the egg yolk by umbilical cord.

Here is No 10 & guess what?

O.K. there is insufficient data here because the clutch is not a large one, however, it's plain ta see that Papa is, also, het. Anerythristic.

Not unusual in itself, Anery is such a commonly inherited gene.

Come on folks...........plunge in there & give me your best bets on Mama! :roflmao:

Lex

Thank ya again for the kind words Folks...........

I LOVE Butter Stripes too ya know! ;)

Anyway,

Here is a photo of Mama as requested by Susie:

This photo was taken April '07, so we are a good 14 months out'a date........however, it gives you an idea of her good looks!

Regards. Lex
