hey I was wondering if i were to keep to corns in the same tank that were about the same size would they be ok together...like does it matter on the sex each snake is or wut?...
Hi dead poet this question comes up a lot on this forum, if you do a search you will see a lot of ppl have asked the same thing. Opinions vary but there are a lot of things that can go wrong when you keep 2 snakes in the same tank. The standard size snake tanks (like 20 gallon) are too small to keep 2 snakes in, but if you have a really big tank you could put in a divider.
I dont really have any probs housing mine together. they are both males.one is allot fatter than the other one, they do sort of judder when the littlest climbs over the biggest but i have been told by many people that this is just to do with them trying to suss out what sex the other one is. if it ever got to the point where i didnt feel the were compatible with eachother i would separate them. when feeding time arrives i do feed them separatley, only because the littlest eats allot quicker than the biggest and i wouldnt want them to fight over the remaining food!!!!
I just got an email from somebody in Canada who had about 5 half year old corns in a 55 gal tank. They were doing great until recently, when they started coming down with some sort of disease - the vet can't figure out what it is. Some have died, and the rest are now in separate cages. But it may be too late and all may be lost. You just never know - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
