2003 Breeding projects...

Clint,
That is a bit of a dissapointment! Quite a few bad eggs! Any Idea why so many--I'm just a bit curious??? You have quite a few more than me this year--I'm at about 160 so far--but only 5 slugs. I am expecting about another 80 to 100 not counting double clutches.
What are you thoughts?

Wow Clint... and I thought I was having bad luck this year, what with my snow mot laying all duds and several eggs dying mid-incubation. I'm sorry to hear about the whole thing... well, hopefully you'll atleast get orange candycanes from your orange candycanes, instead of snows this year... :/

Hey Matt........

I'm not sure what's going on this year. I used quite a few first time males but I don't know if that's it. My temps are the same as last year, I haven't changed anything like water or food supply.
I'm pretty sure my averages are pretty normal. I've got 25 clutches and about 279 eggs. That's a bit more then 10 eggs per female, I think Rich once told me that about what you can expect.
It seems that the snakes that I want to breed most are the ones I get all the slugs from :(

Kat,
I used my other male Orange Candycane this year (better looking too!) It's his first year and my better female put out her first clutch this year also. NO SNOW! ;)
