No, he's not blue :D He is just in the shadows and it doesn't let his color show up. Here is a full body picture:

And zennygirl,
The hide is made of Sculpey oven-bake caly (which is like Fimo only easier to work with). I use foil tins (pie plates, bread tins, etc.) for the frames. I simply cover the foil with the clay and bake it.
