2012 Daytona Pick-ups

Autumn (BloodyBaroness) and I had a blast this year! Autumn needed a road-trip buddy to go with her to Daytona and so I flew from California to her and we drove down for the show. We got to see a bunch of familiar and new faces this year and had a blast hanging out with everyone! I think the show was better this year than last with a lot more colubrids to choose from. But, it was a very BP-dominant show, I think just about ever vendor had a few. Otherwise, there were still good deals to be found. I am very happy with what I got!

So I managed to escape with three purchases:

1.0 Kastanie Blood (Fred Jr.) - won at auction
0.1 Caramel Lavender (Volusia)
0.1 Spider Ball Python (Sheena, short for Shenanigans - yes, I have joined the evil BP world!! But it will live with Autumn)

Autumn got a few more than me ;) :

0.3 non-feeders from Dave P. that Robbie had at his house. A normal (Pasha), an amel (Nova), and an anery (Ripper)
0.1 Charcoal Aztec (Stitch)
0.1 Bloodred, Old School (Cajun)
0.1 Fire Stripe from Nanci (Caldera)
1.0 Enchi Ball Python (Finn)
0.1 Pinstripe het hypo Ball Python (Marcelene)
0.0.2 Mississippi Map Turtles for a friend of Autumns (Chuck and Larry)

Of course I cant talk about all the snakes without posting pictures of them!

Kastanie Bloodred I won in the auction from John (zorro) at Colorado Corns.

Caramel Lavender I could not turn down for some odd reason. I dont know much about if this is actually the morph listed but I dont care, shes pretty anyway.

Yes it is! I want one!
This was the only thing that doesn't look like a normal I left with:

Cool, Chip! What morph is that? Hypo?? (And I still have a pair of hypo fire stripe 100% het anery available).

Brian said he bred scaleless to het last year and got one very small clutch. He thought it looked too pigmented to call anything but normal, but if the founding animal had unknown hets, they could start appearing now. Is the previously pictured fire stripe hypo?

Yes, presumed hypo. Mom is a hypo bloodred, Dad is an avalanche stripe. In two clutches of 15, there have been no bloodreds and no granites. So no non-hypos out of 30 offspring. All (hypo) fires and avalanches, hypo bloods and ghost bloods.

This is one of my Daytona pick-ups- Twizzler, the Lava Stripe, from Danny Wynne!!

Unfortunately, by the time I had the autofocus on the new camera working, Twizzler was not interested in hanging around the deli any longer. I'm happy to report she ate her first meal with me, fourth meal ever, today!

These are no flash, indoors, combination of fluorescent and halogen, unaltered. She appears a _little_ redder than in real life.
