2012 Hypo Avalanche Stripes Muntok and Ava

Nanci

Alien Lover
These two kids are waiting to go to their new home...

This is Muntok. He started out as a tease-feeding hateling! He's a good feeder/good boy now. I think he's blue.

Edit: Yes, he was blue, and now he's all peachy and yellow goodness! I remember when I got his father, Pepper. I was freaking out because I didn't know an avalanche could have yellow. I was really hoping I hadn't bought an expensive snow stripe. With all the shenanigans surrounding his sale, I was quite relieved to see bloodred babies in his first clutch! (Note- bred by Rich Hume, but sold by a broker, who proved to be less than honest- I wasn't sure I was really getting the snake that was advertised...)

This is Ava. She's a little smaller than her big hog of a brother. She's always been sweet.

The mother, Annabelle, is homo hypo bloodred. The dad, Pepper, was a known avalanche stripe. I unexpectedly hatched a ghost bloodred stripe in 2011, so I knew he was at least heterozygous hypo. The other hatchlings were all fires and avalanches- no plain bloodreds or granites. The same results were achieved in 2012- zero bloodreds or granites out of 30-some hatchlings.
