2013 Caramel Motley ("Hawthorne") Progression Thread

In my introductory post, a few people expressed interest in watching his colours change, and I'm only all too happy to oblige!

I have to start getting my DSLR out and ready for pictures. Most of these were taken on my phone!

First day home (Sept 29):

This past weekend, looking ready to shed:

Today, second pinky feeding. No shed yet, but I decided to offer food anyway:

(He weighs 11g.)

Weird question perhaps, but are you sure it's a caramel motley and not a normal motley? It seems to have so much orange in these pics ^^

The store told me caramel aztec motley (I'm unsure on the "aztec" part). They had normals as well, and he looked substantially different from them. I could very well be wrong, because I'm no expert, but I think it's the lighting. He's not that orange, but he has a few scales that are orange-tinged. Here are some more pictures in natural light. He shed recently and is a little bit lighter.

(If he is normal, I'll have some strong words for the reptile store for overcharging me!)

He is so handsome! Looks caramel to me. He would be one that I would get really excited about when I saw a new shed in the bin. :)

i saw him in person. He's a caramel! Pictures sometimes don't do them justice.

Thanks for the definitive clarification. :]

I'm working on getting a video of him eating up. That's about as close to actual colour as I think I can give.

He is good! Moved from little pinkies to bigger pinkies and he's about 20g now (10 or 11 when I got him).

I was actually planning new pictures because he shed on November 22nd. I was just waiting for a day where I wasn't in school because I wanted the natural light of an afternoon and I keep getting home when it's dark. ugh winter!

I live! And so does my snake. He's over 80 grams now and had his first small hopper today. He's still getting progressively lighter. I came to this thread to see how dark he used to be. Wowee. He was only 20 grams last time I posted!

I'm planning on moving him to a bigger tank in a couple of months now that I have a full-time job and can splurge!
