2013 Coral Snow X RF Tessera het Cayenne Fire progression

These three are my holdbacks, that I will continue my projects with when they grow up.

They are out of a (SMR) Coral Snow X (Colorado Corns) Red Factor Tessera het Cayenne Fire. I held back 1.1 RF Amel Tessera babies (het for Anery, poss het Bloodred), and 0.1 RF Tessera (het Amel, Anery, poss het Bloodred).

They are coloring up nicely, and I am looking forward to seeing what they will look like as adults.

The male RF Amel Tessera will be paired to another Coral Snow female (daughter to the dam of these babies).

They have! Much more than the "normal" RF Tessera.

The two RF Amel Tessera babies shed recently. They continue to get more red!

Eric was kind enough to take some photos of the babies he has from this clutch.
He now has one of the Amel Tessera's, a Red Factor Amel Tessera (the only one I let go of), and a Red Factor Amel baby.
The are all coloring up very nicely!

Out of curiosity, what do the bellies look like on these? I guess, more specifically, do they have a red wash over the belly, especially the "normal" red factor tessera?

I snapped a quick pic of Sol's belly. He is turning blue, so the coloring is muted, but yes, he has the red wash over the belly.

Thanks! I have a sunkissed het lavender with really red saddles, and a red belly, who is a suspected red factor. I think red factor should (or does) increase the peaches on lavender morphs. Redcoat definitely does (Joe Pierce produced a ridiculous redcoat lava lavender). I'll have eggs from her next year, and hope I can figure out if she's really red factor. I'm glad you are working with it and making detailed observations.

I have two Red Factor pairings in the works (that I will pair next year). Both I tried this year, but I did not get eggs. It was most likely my fault. With my flared up herniated discs, I did not pair them as often as I should have.

Maybe it's lurking in another post, but how many babies total were there and how many were red factor, ie did the parents carry only one copy of red factor? Does the coral snow from Colorado Corns contain red factor?

The Coral Snow originally came from SMR, and had no RF. She had not previously produced RF babies. She had only been bred with other SMR line Coral Snows.

Saraphine (SMR Coral Snow) laid 30 eggs, 4 of those were slugs.
The remaining 26 eggs all hatched.

The final tally:
4 Amel Tessera's
6 Normal Tessera's
14 Amel's
2 Normals

I didn't log it on the original thread, but about 10-11 babies were RF.
I believe one that I did not think was RF ended up developing the red.
