The only critter my Fiance' bought, 3 firebellied toads. We already have one and a firebellied newt in our semi aquatic set up and our other toad has been very lack luster since the other died. He couldn't resist the bargin price:

Twas mostly a supply run in the end. I got 50 pinks (by the time I was ready to buy all the good sized adults I needed were gone :( ) 2 big stone hides, water dish, and a plastic hide for the bigger corns. As well as some cricks for our Leos
And he also picked up a hide for his new leo.

Oh those are cute! I used to keep fire belly newts as a kid. I miss them. I never seem to find them any more in the pet stores either.

Awesome. I had a firebellied toad when I was 8. His name was Bart. They're pretty sweet to watch I think.

Yeah I'm having tons of fun watching these little guys, they really revializted the tank because just the newt and the toad were being kinda lack luster they're both more active now.

Second on CL, but, the lowest cost part of almost any snake is the price of the animal itself.

RHP/UTH, thermostat, thermometer/hygro, enclosure cost...etc.
Electricity, mice, and substrate costs all add up. If you can't do it right, don't do it.
