A Backyard find

DaGiant

DaBig Guy retired to MS
I'm not sure what kind of Gopher Snake it is,
Great Basin or Pacific, but it is gorgeous and
VERY active. I love its coloring with the yellows, reds,
blacks & browns..
Sorry for the pic quality but it was always moving.
I heard one of my dogs barking very loudly and urgently
so I looked out to see what she was barking at.
I saw this big kid in a corner by my snake room door,
It is almost 6ft long and very thick, I picked it up
and put it in a tub, then took a few picks before
letting it calm down a bit.

I'll probably turn it loose again, but I had to hold this
very powerful "Pit"..
I may try to get some better pics before releasing it.

Gene, Very nice.. lol I would try and see if it would take f/t before you let it go. Give it a small meal. heck.. lol it takes f/t it might be a good keeper.

Very pretty.. Looks different from the Great Basins we have here if it is a great basin..

Thanks Steph, I really need to learn the differences.. lol

I am thinking that its a Pacific. It reminds me of the ones I have here.

Thanks Jim, it's not as dark as my Great Basins so I was hoping it was a
Pacific.. Now to see what sex it is.. Hmm..

Nice find Gene. You're the snake magnet!!
