Hey there! I would still consider myself a new owner even though I've had my first corn since 2010. I joined here mainly to see what colors my two are and I hope you guys can help me! It would also be nice to be apart of a snake community. ^-^
1. Rosie
She was my first reptile I ever owned and there hasn't been any disappointments with her behavior. I got her when she was itty bitty and have hand raised her ever since. I always get compliments on how relaxed she is and with her I have changed quite a few minds about snakes.

2. Chex-mix
She on the other hand is quite difficult. I got her four years ago when she was just 1 year old. She doesn't strike, but she is quite wormy and I've been trying to tame her down. I do enjoy her colors, though.

I do keep them together and will continue. I've had them in the same cage for 4 years without an incident. I am currently thinking about taking Chex from the cage, but I must look into it first.

Welcome. Your snakes are beautiful.

I'm glad Rosie is relaxed with you. I'm no morph expert so I'll leave that ID to others.

Chex-mix looks like a really pretty normal. My Dolly is a normal, but still a little guy. They all have different temperaments. My normal doesn't come out to greet me; but once in my hands, or the hands of the two others who have handled him so far, he is a very mellow fellow. Just keep working with Chex-mix (love the name), be patient, and love her for who she is.

P.S. I urge you to give them separate housing. Chex-mix may well calm down if she has her own place. Personally, I will never cohab corns and that is one reason I only have one.

They are very beautiful snakes!
I love Amels, I think they are so unique and cool looking!
Welcome to the forum <3

I also agree with the separation- It will probably help Chex Mix calm down, since she isn't butting heads with the other girl for the best warm spot in the tank- And sadly, in most cases, it's only a matter of time before an incident DOES occur, and by then, it's too late for human intervention. There's no stopping it. We only encourage it so strongly because it can be so dangerous, and we all only want what's best for our scaly kids <3 <3 <3

I've done my searches and I agree. I didn't think about her attitude being affected by my other snake. I figured Chex was a normal, but I just wanted to make sure! Thanks for the welcome, guys! :D

Welcome! I have agree about separating them, HERE is a good link on why not to cohab.

And like they say, there is never a problem until there IS a problem!
