I've had my snake for exactly a month now, no issue with feeding, handles great, very calm and curious little guy. He's still quite small, ~13 in. and 9g, a little baby. The only change is that after the last few feedings, which happen outside his viv in a tupperware container, I put him back in the cage and he immediately climbs the thermometer probe wires to sit on the unit (it's adhered to the inside of the cage), then climbs further to wedge himself on the lip of the cage rim, even though he has a little bit of trouble maneuvering on account of the lump in his stomach.
He'd digested just fine each time, by the way, so he's getting the right temps for himself.
I've been planning to get him a high-hide, because he does this at other times, but I was wondering why he would eschew his favorite warm-hide for the lid lip at this time, and so consistently? An individual quirk or signal he needs something?
