Hee hee. I've had a few males bigger than this dude show no interest in breeding yet, but I decided to give this little man a crack at the game. He was all over that big girl and hooked up in minutes. :rofl:

Curious the age and weight of that male, and did you brumate him? Just because I'm considering breeding an 06 male this year.
 
He's one of my smallest 06's tipping the scales at 90 grams. I've had some double his size that would just hide from the female.

And for Miss Katrina, our lovely lady in the photo shoot, she's just over 500 grams. :)
 
90 grams? that's IT!? my male (i think) snow is 92 grams before being fed, and not even a year old yet, i don't think.

i thought they had to be 300+ grams to breed?
 
Hi Katia,

The females must be 300 or greater in order to deal with the energy and weight loss associated with egg laying. The males? Not so. Some say that fertility is an issue the smaller the male. But many have done it successfully!

Here's hoping for the enuthusastic guy! hehehe

Real beauties! I was also relieved to see this, as I plan to breed a pair with pretty much the same ratios of size! :crazy02:
 
lol, in "people" years that would be a bit disturbing... but for snakes, woohoo! go get her man! Work that tail! :crazy02: lol

Definately keep us posted... I really am interested in seeing the hatchlings of these two. Will probably make some gorgeous snakes! :)
