Air Temps for eggs?

We have two clutches of 16 eggs in separate containers on vermiculite...instead of leaving them with our local herp in his incubator we took them home and put them on our top shelf of our bedroom closet...the ambient air temp in the closet varies between 75-80 degrees...are these temps ok? What are the highest or lowest temps that should be avoided for the eggs? Our first clutch last year was kept by our herp in his incubator around 76 degrees. Thanks

82-84 F is good in an incubator. A warm place usually varies a lot more, but corn snake eggs can handle 92 F for an afternoon (personal experience). I'd call 35 F the lower limit of survival, but the embryos will not grow significantly below around 70 F. And I'd worry if I couldn't get the eggs into the middle 80s F for at least part of most days. Good luck.

Thanks...our clutch last year was kept at 76...it took them a little longer to hatch but they all came out healthy and some a little bit angry LOL
