Amber Corns

I saw a juvenile amber corn today at the show and was severely tempted. I love the Amber corns pictured on Rich Z's site and on SMR's site... but I wonder if those animals are exceptional, or do they all have that nice deep yellowish color?

I would love to see pics of adults and subadults from other people. I may very well consider an amber as my second corn.

I wish I could post pics of my amber for ya, but I only have internet access at work and they don't like people loading pics on these systems. :(

Ambers are pretty well known for their deep yellow color. It gets better and better as they get older too. When I first got my amber, he looked mostly brown. Now, a year later, he's got bright yellow ground colors, white, and the brown saddles have turned into this golden tan color, outlined in black. Ambers, in my opinion, are one the most beautiful color morphs out there.

Hopefully susang will post hers. I got a shipment of 07 serpenco out of eggers, the ambers were kind of fillers and Susan ended up with them. Been kicking myself ever since, I visited her about a month ago and she showed me how much they had grown. WOW!

Here's a couple that are currently in my possession:
Here's the male:

Unfortunatley both my ambers are blue. The male is very dark yellow/ gold and getting darker every shed. The female is also just a little slower. Mine seem to be getting yellower with each shed.

Hey Drizz, how old are those ambers?
Those Ambers were hatched July of 2006. They'll be 2 years old this summer. The male is at a solid 414 grams. The female 479 grams. Yes, that's accurate, I just weighed them yesterday! Even on the "recommended" weekly (7 day) feedings most of my 2 year old snakes reach this size. :shrugs:

Anything else?! :)

Thanks Drizz. :) They're beautiful snakes. :) Much lighter than mine....My amber was born October 06. I'm not sure how much he weighs, but he's getting bigger by the moment. Seems like he's grown an inch every time I look at him (which is every day).

My Amber's coloration is similar to the one Susan just posted.

Well OK he shed so here is a pic when I first got him and the next two today, these are from Serpenco through Jen P.
