I'm new to corn snakes, and snakes in general. I've had many variety of lizards throughout my life, but these two are my first snakes I've owned.
I've had what I believe is an unsexed Amel, approximately 13 inches in length for about month that I bought at the local pet store. I bought him on a whim, and after I took him home and researched corn snake care, I fell in love with the species. I've become obsessed lately, and have been scouring the internet regarding cornsnake information ever since. Which led me to purchase my newest snake. She's an Amel Bloodred (Fire) from Home Grown Herps. After carefully deciding which morphs are my favorite, I selected a Fire. Their coloring is so brilliant! I really, really hope mine turns bright red-orange with a high amount of diffusion.
Here are the pics.

And here's a pic of my Amel, who went into blue today. He should be shedding shortly (at least I assume so given how pink his eyes are--am I correct in assuming this?)
