But I can go either way on the name vs morph + pattern discussion. I think I'd prefer to leave the combos as morph + pattern until an appropriate name comes along, rather than assigning one quickly that doesn't really conjure up images of the morph...

I totally agree with Kat on this one. We might be jumping too ahead of ourselfs and start naming the morphs without knowing what it would look like as adults.
I also understand that if we started to use just the genetic make up of the corns then things are going to start to get crazy. It might be hard for us to change the name again once we see the adult version of the snake.
Also if we start to get a 5 genetical homo snake then we would be typing something like Lava Amel Caramel Bloodred Motley.....which would really be a bad advertising name.
I agree with Walter that it might be easier to just name colors with 'Trade Names' and just add the color mutation to it.
I personally like the Anery Bloodred, Lavender Bloodred, Amel Motley naming more. Its just easier for me. But it might be because that I am more or less used to those terms. But if new comers comes along, they would have trouble figuring out what a Sulfur or Avalanche is. This is because we as breeders and 'more experienced' people can't even get this strightened out yet.
We should get a couple of poll threads up and say weather or not we should have trade names or not. If so, why? If not, why? We also should try and set a date so what we call can vote. Or a time interval so that most people around this forum would know about the vote to make it as fair to everyone as possible.
I don't know....but I am pretty much with Walter here with the 'trade names with color morphs and just add pattern mutations' kind of thing. But that's just me~
